Emagine Debuts Detroit-Themed Holiday Film, Hosts Limited Run Through November

Emagine is excited to announce that the new comedy “The Best Thanksgiving Ever: A Detroit Holiday Misadventure” is now screening at select Emagine locations through November.

The movie follows protagonist Kevin around Detroit as he overcomes a crushing holiday heartbreak by joining his friends for a debaucherous—and disastrous—night on the town. Emagine Royal Oak premiered the film in a Hollywood-worthy screening on November 2; the limited-run feature will also be played at the chain’s Canton and Novi theaters.

Writer David Paulus hails from West Bloomfield, and challenges the current sociopolitical climate with the playful movie, which includes scenes at Metro Detroit mainstays like the 24 Seconds Bar and Grill in Berkeley and Como’s in Ferndale. While the film is unrated, its adult-themed content and language makes it best suited for mature audiences. Check out MLive’s coverage of the event and film.
