Emagine Novi Grand Opening
To Feature STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI
Advance Tickets On-Sale Monday, October 9!
(Troy, Michigan – October 8, 2017) Emagine Entertainment, Inc., one of the nation’s leading innovators in motion picture exhibition, is investing over $5.0 million in remodeling Emagine Novi. Emagine’s venue in Novi, Michigan was the company’s first foray into metropolitan Detroit, opening in October 2002. The newly renovated theatre’s makeover is almost complete. It will feature ultra-luxurious amenities including 100% powered recliners, upscale décor throughout, an enlarged bar, and a newly expanded concession menu. Best yet, it will open the largest movie screen in the State of Michigan, Emagine’s Super EMAX, just in time for the December 15th release of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI.
Lucasfilm announced today that the trailer for STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI will debut on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” on Monday, October 9, during halftime of the National Football League (NFL) game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears in Chicago. The game starts at 5:15 p.m. PDT/8:15 p.m. EDT.
Following the trailer launch, tickets to the highly anticipated cinematic event will be on sale everywhere movie tickets are sold. Advance tickets will then go on sale at www.emagine-entertainment.com, for all Emagine locations, including the new Super EMAX exclusively at Emagine Novi.
Special engagement Super EMAX tickets, like those for STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, will be priced at $13.00 for matinees and $15.00 for shows starting after 6:00 p.m. Non-special engagement tickets to Emagine Novi’s Super EMAX auditorium will be priced at $10.00 and $12.00 for matinee and evening shows, respectively.
In addition to accessing tickets on Emagine’s website, they are also available at in-theatre lobby kiosks, the box office, and on Emagine’s Smartphone app.
Paul Glantz, Emagine’s CEO, notes “Emagine is dedicated to providing its guests with the finest entertainment experience in the marketplace. Our Super EMAX will undeniably be the biggest screen in the State of Michigan, but it more importantly; will be the best place in the State of Michigan to see a blockbuster film.”
Emagine Novi is making BIG improvements, but it got smaller in one respect: it went from 18 screens to 17 screens. By combining two auditoriums, and in concert with the expansion of the overall building footprint, Emagine Novi will soon be home to the largest movie screen in the State of Michigan. Measuring 92 feet wide and over 48 feet tall, Emagine is proud to introduce another innovation to the Michigan movie market: laser projection. Its ultra-bright crisp 4K imagery will be paired with a 64-channel Dolby Atmos® immersive sound system to create the most awe-inspiring movie experience in the Midwest. Super EMAX will feature 300 luxury reclining chairs with a special front row of cuddle chairs (another Emagine innovation) to create an unbelievable movie-going experience comparable only to the TCL Chinese®.
Upon its grand re-opening in December, Emagine Novi will sport a new sit-down bar, new restrooms, new ticketing counters, soft seating areas, expanded food service choices, and 1,400 powered reclining luxury chairs. Modeled after the success Emagine has enjoyed at its recently remodeled venues in Canton and Birch Run, Emagine Novi will have been transformed into a state-of-the-art ultra-luxurious theatre.
is located exclusively at the Emagine Novi, located at 44425 W. Twelve Mile Road in Novi, in the Twelve Mile Crossings at Fountain Walk shopping center, just west of Novi Road.
Emagine Entertainment, Inc.’s affiliates operate 206 movie screens at 17 locations in Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota.
