Emagine Engages Teens with Hush Reel Contest
March 7, 2017

Emagine Theatres is engaging local teens with a contest intended to showcase their creativity and provide a glimpse into the world of filmmaking. Metro-Detroit high schoolers are eligible to enter by creating a short, light-hearted video promoting cell phone etiquette. The message: to ask movie-goers to silence their cell phones before the feature begins.

Emagine Entertainment CEO, Paul Glantz, kicked off the Hush Reel Contest with a video of his own March 1, and hopes word will get out about this opportunity for local teens to feature their work on the big screen. As an active participant in the viability of the communities in which the theatres stand, the hope is to inspire this age group to become involved while highlighting their creativity in a big way.

See local coverage by Crain’s Detroit Business and Oakland Press, or learn more about the contest guidelines and awards at the Emagine Theatres’ Facebook page.
