New fully renovated theatre features to include heated luxury recliners,
full-service bar, expanded food options, and axe-throwing!
Emagine Eagan Grand Opening in Fall 2019
(TROY, MI – May 2, 2019) Emagine Entertainment, Inc., an innovator in luxury theatres, is thrilled to announce their ninth Minnesota theatre location, Emagine Eagan, with the purchase of Regal Cinemas Eagan 16 on May 1st, 2019. The 72,000 square foot theatre will feature ultra-luxurious amenities throughout, including Minnesota Axe (MN Axe), a fun new indoor competitive sport of axe throwing, and will re-open to the public in Fall 2019 as Emagine Eagan. Emagine Eagan is located at 2055 Cliff Rd., Eagan, MN 55122.
Amenities at Emagine Eagan include 1200 seats in 14 beautiful state-of-the art auditoriums, and two EMAX premium large format screens as well as a Screening Room where patrons can control the remote to pause or stop the movie while also controlling options like the volume or lights with additional space to host a party. The EMAX auditoriums will feature a floor-to-ceiling screen with high frame rate capability and a spectacular Dolby Atmos® immersive sound system and laser projection. Upon entering the theatre, guests will enjoy upscale decor throughout, a full-service bar with hand-crafted cocktails, wine and beer, a classy lounge area and an enhanced concession menu. In the auditoriums, guests will enjoy plush, heated reclining chairs separated by 7 feet of row spacing. In addition, Minnesota Axe (MN Axe) will have 6 areas (12 lanes) for axe throwing.

● Heated Luxury Seating – All auditoriums at Emagine Eagan will feature heated luxury leather reclining seats to ensure that our guests are as comfortable as possible.
● Online Ticket Sales – any show, any time, you can now purchase your tickets online, in advance of the show. Avoid the box office and get your tickets online ahead of time!
● Dolby Atmos EMAX Theatre – These are our largest screens stretching from wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor. This special theatre experience also has surround sound for excellent sound effects!
● Stadium Seating – All 14 of Emagine Eagan’s theatre rooms feature stadium seating, which means you have the best and most comfortable movie-watching experience.
● Reserved Seating – For guest convenience and comfort, Emagine offers 100% reserved seating. Guests may purchase tickets online or by downloading our app from Google Play or iOS App Store, and choose their perfect seat for the show.
● Self-Serve Coke Freestyle Machine – Guests may choose from over 100 flavors or grab a slushy drink for the same price as a soft drink.
● Theatre Bar – A full-service bar with hand-crafted cocktails, wine and beer on tap, including local selections.
● Handcrafted Pizzas – Guests can enjoy all their favorite traditional movie concessions or try one of Emagine’s handcrafted pizzas made in Emagine Eagan stone ovens.
● Specialty Popcorn – Emagine Eagan will feature a variety of popcorn: traditional, caramel, cheddar, and OlivEpop, Emagine’s proprietary popcorn prepared with olive oil and sea salt.
● Birthday Parties and Private Theatre Rental –Private party rooms and theatre rentals are both available at Emagine Eagan.
● All theatres will be handicapped accessible and equipped with hearing impaired listening devices.
● Axe Throwing – MN Axe featuring 12 axe throwing lanes.
Emagine Entertainment completely renovated all eight of their current locations in Minnesota. Emagine Lakeville, Emagine Willow Creek, Emagine Delano, Emagine Rogers, Emagine Waconia, Emagine White Bear, and Emagine East Bethel have completed renovations in 2018, and Emagine Monticello was completed in April 2019, with the first introduction of Minnesota Axe (MN Axe) into their theatre. Emagine Eagan will be the ninth Emagine location in Minnesota and will be completely renovated and open to the public in Fall 2019.
Minnesota Axe (MN Axe) is an axe throwing venue that debuted inside of their Emagine Monticello location and will add an additional location in Emagine Eagan. MN Axe is the first NATF (National Axe Throwing Federation) in Minnesota. Axe throwing is an individual sport played with and against other members of a group. Individuals throw 1.5-pound hatchets at wooden targets marked with a bullseye and score points based on where on the target they stick the axe. Minnesota Axe is perfect for nights out with friends, birthday parties, corporate team building and can be rented out entirely for any type of event.

Axe throwing as an indoor competitive sport has taken off in Canada over the past decade. Similar to darts, axe throwing is an individual sport played with and against other members of a group. Individuals throw 1.5 pound hatchets at wooden targets marked with a bullseye and score points based on where on the target they stick the axe.
