Q: Who qualifies for a CHILD ticket?
A: Guests 11 years old and under. Children under 2 are free at Emagine if held by an adult (lap child). If the child requires a separate seat, a CHILD ticket must be purchased.
Q: Who qualifies for a SENIOR ticket?
A: Guests 55 years+ qualify for a senior ticket.*
Q: How old do you have to be to see a rated-R movie?
A: Guests must be 17+ with valid ID to see an R-rated feature without a parent or guardian. No children 6 years old or younger will be admitted to any “R” rated film.
Q: Are there any age restrictions for theatre admittance?
A: No one 15 years old or younger will be admitted after 9 p.m. unless they are accompanied by a parent or Adult Guardian who agrees to be responsible for the conduct and safety of the underage guest.
*Senior ticket offer varies by location, and by time of day. Please contact your local theatre for details.
Q: Do you offer Military Discounts?
A: Emagine offers a military discount* to all active military or veterans, and to their entire party. The discount can only be honored for in-person ticket purchases after presenting a valid ID. Prices vary by location and in some locations the discount will only be valid after 6PM.
Q: Where can I get tickets?
Q: When can I get tickets and showtimes for an upcoming feature?
A: Current and upcoming features are listed on the website here. Some features will have select shows available for advanced tickets, while full schedules are available on Tuesdays for Friday releases. If you have questions regarding specific upcoming features, playdates and locations, reach out to us here.
Q: What are passes and their restrictions (NP)?
A: Promotional passes that are available may list “NP” or “No Pass” and are not applicable for use on any feature where NP is listed with the title. If you are unsure of what features your pass can be used for, see the manager on duty at your local theatre.
Q: What is a Special Engagement?
A: Special engagements are features that play in addition to the regular theatre schedule. Some offers and pass restrictions may apply to special engagements. If you are unsure if your feature is classified as a special engagement, see the manager on duty at your local theatre or contact us here.
Q: How can I get a refund or exchange my tickets?
A: Refunds/Exchanges are available for ticket purchases prior to show start time and with proof of purchase (ticket, receipt, confirmation number). We cannot issue refunds via phone, refunds must be issued in person. Ticket exchanges can be done via phone. Ticket purchases made via credit card will be refunded and subject to the return policies of your account. Contact your theatre here for assistance. Please note, refunds/exchanges can only be done for the original theater in which tickets were purchased.
Q: What do I do if I purchased the wrong tickets?
A: Tickets can be exchanged (performed via phone) for another show provided that: 1) new tickets are available 2) the original show time has not passed 3) the exchange is done in the same location. Contact your theatre here for assistance.
Q: Are there any theatre admittance restrictions?
A: No one 15 years old or younger will be admitted after 6 p.m. unless they are accompanied by a parent or Adult Guardian who agrees to be responsible for the conduct and safety of the underage guest.
Q: Why aren’t there movie times past Thursday?
A: The new movie week begins on Friday and showtimes are updated by 5 p.m. Tuesday for the upcoming week with the exception of midweek and holiday releases.
Q: What is EMAX?
Our outstanding EMAX (Emagine Maximum) premium large format (PLF) auditoriums have the largest screens in the building, as well as Dolby Atmos surround sound, 4k projectors and so much more. You actually feel the movie.
Q: How can I purchase gift cards?
A: We offer gift cards at any box office starting at $15. Gift cards cannot be purchased online at this time. We will have this option available soon.
Q: How can I check my gift card balance?
A: You can get the balance of your gift card at any location or by calling your theatre here.
Q: How can I purchase bulk tickets?

Q: Can I use my gift card online?
A: Yes, we do accept gift cards online. We are working on partial payments (gift cards and credit cards) at this time.

A: Parking is available free of charge at all locations except Royal Oak & Birmingham.

- At Birmingham, there is on-street parking with meters as well as city operated parking structures that offer free parking for the first two hours and all day on Sundays.
Q: Are there peanuts present in the food preparation?
A: Yes, the kitchen does work with peanuts. However, our popcorn kernels do not contain nut ingredients and are manufactured in a separate building on separate equipment from any of our products that do contain peanuts and/or tree nuts.

Q: Do you offer any audio or captioning assistance at your theaters?
A: We have assisted listening devices available for any show at any location that will amplify the audio for the listener.
In Minnesota, Emagine Lakeville, Rogers and White Bear offer open captioning every Wednesday. On the website there will be an – OC behind the title that features OPEN CAPTION.
We also offer a personal open caption device that sits in the cupholder that can be used for any movie, any showtime.
Q: Do any of your locations offer descriptive video screenings?
A: Several of our locations do offer descriptive video, commonly called VIN (Visually Impaired Narrative). Locations that offer VIN at this time are: Royal Oak (MI), Macomb (MI), and Frankfort (IL). Other MI locations are in process since they require a hardware change. Our newly acquired Minnesota locations are also equipped with VIN, although some renovation schedules might impede what is offered at this moment.
