On January 20, Emagine Frankfort remodel was completed with all ten of its luxury auditoriums opened to the public, including one featuring a wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling Dolby Emax screen. In addition to high-quality projectors and surround sound, moviegoers can enjoy plush power recliners, handcrafted cocktails, beer, and gourmet concessions like stone-oven pizza. The theatre also offers 100% reserved seating and online or app-based ticket purchases (the Emagine app is available to both Android and iPhone users).
Emagine hosted a fundraiser/ribbon-cutting ceremony the day before its grand opening and contributed proceeds to the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra and the KidsWork Children’s Museum in Frankfort. CEO Paul Glantz was grateful for the community’s supportive response, stating that it “reinforces what a wonderful community Frankfort is.” The new theatre is the upscale chain’s first Illinois location.
