Prince and The Revolution: Live

PG13 2 hrs 11 mins Special Event

James Brown had the Apollo. Jimi Hendrix had Monterey Pop. And Prince had Syracuse, New York’s Carrier Dome—the site of his March 30, 1985, Purple Rain Tour performance that was beamed to millions live via satellite and captured for posterity as a Grammy Award-nominated concert film.

For the first time, this powerful performance by Prince and The Revolution has been entirely remixed and remastered, and the picture has been improved significantly. Running nearly 2 hours, the film features smash hits from the legendary Prince albums Purple Rain, Controversy, and 1999, including a mind-bending 18-minute version of “Purple Rain.”

Given Prince’s love for an afterparty, this special fan event also includes a mini DJ set after the film from DJ Rashida, Prince’s touring DJ for more than a decade. Curated exclusively for the post-show party, Rashida will spin an iconic mix of songs from across Prince’s legendary career.
